Joe Roberson, a digital copywriter and bid writer for social good, published a post on Six tips for creating digital tools that solve social problems. The post at Innovationlabs is based on an interview he did with one of the UK’s leading digital innovation agencies (Sidekick Studios). Here is ashort version of the six tips for seasoned startups or small organisations just starting out to improve their digital end products:

  1. Keep an unrelenting focus on things that matter – focus on what people want and what they find useful
  2. Mashup your designers, developers and business strategists – work together at every stage of a project
  3. Ship, ship, ship – and watch closely to see what happens
  4. Find people who are smarter than you, more experienced than you – find the right people to make up your team
  5. Find what you love. Do what you love. With people you love. – full of passion and belief
  6. Have fun and share your popcorn – don‘t take yourself too seriously
