Use An App To Gather Feedback And Improve Services [VIDEO]

The Birmingham Children’s Hospital Feedback App allows patients, parents, carers and visitors to the Hospital to give instant feedback on their visit.

The Guardian’s Professional Healthcare Network recently published an article on „How one hospital is using mobile apps to gather feedback and improve services“. Michelle McLoughlin – chief nurse at Birmingham children’s hospital – describes a feedback app that is used at Birmingham children’s hospital. It allows patients to send comments directly to the manager in charge. She explains that …

“The way that people communicate has changed so much in recent years and almost everyone who comes to our hospital has a smartphone. This is why we were keen to see how mobile technology could be used to gather feedback in a way that suits young people, families and staff.”

Watch this video to find out more about how the app is used.

More information can be found on the hospital’s Patient and Family Feedback site. As the people at Birmingham children’s hospital are dedicated to being open and transparent about the feedback they receive all messages are published live on their website in real-time for others to view.

  1. Such a simple tool, yet so valuable. Giving patients a ‘voice’ through an in-time easy tool. Brilliant for health services to get immediate feedback on things well done, and areas of improvement. Thanks for sharing.
